Click the Dropbox icon in the system tray at the bottom of your screen. Then, make sure you save and quit ALL programs that access files in the Dropbox folder. Let's also make sure that you try temporarily disabling your Antivirus or Security program while reinstalling the Dropbox application, just to prevent any Antivirus or Security program blocking access for Dropbox to specific files or programs needed during this install or startup process. Also, there was actually a newer version of the client released on 6/21 (5.4.24). I want to make sure we are covering all our troubleshooting bases, for documentation purposes, so I'm going to have you do a reinstall and resync to attempt to fix the problem. Their canned response is "go lay it on the forum members", which is what I'm doing here. I am literally at my wit's end on this, and Dropbox refuses to help me. I have tried three different downloads just to be sure the problem isn't a download corruption. Every permission and access choice in the entire machine for all accounts have been enabled. The "unlink cookie" message is probably the most common, but there is no order or sequence to these error messages.
